Difference between Google Search and ChatGPT
This has come up in almost every conversation lately. People are frustrated with the results they are getting with ChatGPT. When I ask them to show me their prompts and some examples I quickly realize that they are using it like Google search. This makes sense as their brains have never seen something like ChatGPT. The only thing that feels familiar is the prompt box which looks similar to the Google search box. They also use one big long chat window for everything versus starting a new chat window when discussing a different topic.
It’s okay. We are all learning.
Hopefully, this chart will help explain the difference between Google search and ChatGPT capabilities.
Question of the week:
Which AI tool should I use?
When deciding on what AI tools to use, don’t start with the tool first, start with what are you trying to accomplish. Then find the best tool to accomplish the task.
Think of AI as someone you just hired. They are a human you added to your team. Write a job description for that role. What do you want them to do for you? Just like any successful hire success begins with a clear role definition.
Shifting your perspective from tool first to goal first you align technology with strategy ensuring your AI solution meets the needs of the business to propel it forward.

Share this with those who struggle with advocating for themselves.
We discussed the power of communication in leadership and a few things that I have learned while working in male-dominated industries:
1. Assert your worth and take your rightful seat at the table.
2. Your voice matters, trust that others value your contributions.
3. Be your own cheerleader; no one will advocate for you like you can.
4. True allies and mentors are accessible and supportive guides.
