ChatGPT Image Update
Did you play with the new image capability in ChatGPT that we shared last week? It is available in all versions. It is just limited to how many images you can create based on the version you use. Show me your images you created. Sam Altman said they added one million users in one hour with the new capability. To put that in perspective, when ChatGPT originally launched, they added one million users in 5 days. Which has never been done before.

Google AI Mode
Well looks like I have another AI tool to test today! I got the invite to play with it yesterday. The new AI Mode experiment in Search uses advanced reasoning, thinking and multimodal capabilities from Gemini to help with even your toughest questions. You can ask whatever’s on your mind and get an AI-powered response with the ability to explore further with follow-up questions and helpful web links. AI Mode does the heavy lifting for you, intelligently organizing information and gives you easy-to-digest breakdowns.
If you want to play with new things Google is rolling out, go here https://labs.google/.
Of course, my first prompt was to learn how to use it and its features. I am interested to learn what the difference is between this and the regular Gemini. Here is the response:
Gemini's AI Mode, currently an experimental feature available through Google Labs, offers a more advanced and conversational search experience powered by a custom version of the Gemini 2.0 AI model.
Here's how you can make the most of it:
1. Access and Enable AI Mode:
Enroll in Search Labs: Visit the Google Search Labs page and sign up for the AI Mode experiment.
Google One AI Premium (Initially): Access may be initially prioritized for Google One AI Premium subscribers.
Opt-in: After being granted access, opt into AI Mode in the Search Labs settings.
2. Formulate Detailed and Complex Queries:
Multi-step questions: Pose complex, multi-part questions that require multiple searches or deeper reasoning to answer.
Comparisons: Ask for comparisons between different options (e.g., "Compare sleep tracking features of smart rings, smartwatches, and tracking mats.").
3. Leverage the Conversational Capabilities:
Follow-up questions: Ask follow-up questions to refine the search and get more tailored results from the initial AI-powered response.
Explore related subtopics: Use the back-and-forth dialogue to delve deeper into the topic and explore related areas.
4. Utilize Multimodal Input:
Text, voice, or images: Search using text queries, voice commands, or upload images to include visual context in your search.
5. Evaluate and Provide Feedback:
Factuality and accuracy: Remember that AI-generated responses may sometimes be incorrect (hallucinations).
Use double-check feature: Utilize any available features to verify information.
Provide feedback: Help improve the system by rating responses and giving specific feedback on areas for improvement.
