AI Adoption Quiz for Small to Mid-Size Businesses
This AI Adoption Quiz is designed to help small to mid-size businesses evaluate their progress in implementing and leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The categories are from my interactions with 100s of companies in seeing what successful AI adoption looks like for clients. It serves as a tool to guide you on your AI journey, allowing you to:
1. Assess Your Current State: Gain a clear picture of where your business stands in various aspects of AI adoption.
2. Identify Gaps: Recognize areas where you may be falling behind industry standards or your own expectations.
3. Set Priorities: Use the assessment to determine which areas require immediate attention or investment.
4. Track Progress: By revisiting this assessment periodically, you can monitor your advancement in AI adoption over time.
5. Benchmark Performance: Compare your status against general industry standards for businesses of your size.
6. Guide Strategy: Use the insights gained to inform and refine your AI strategy and implementation plans.
The AI Adoption progress chart covers 16 key areas of AI adoption, ranging from strategy and data readiness to AI champions and performance monitoring. For each area, it provides criteria for three levels of adoption: "Behind," "On Track," and "Ahead."
To use this quiz effectively:
- Be honest in your self-assessment to get the most accurate picture of your current state.
- Remember that being "Ahead" in every category isn't necessary; focus on the areas most critical to your business goals.
- Use this as a starting point for discussions with your team about AI initiatives and priorities.
- Consider customizing the criteria to better fit your specific industry or business model if needed.
- Reassess periodically (e.g., quarterly or semi-annually) to track progress and adjust your strategy.
By regularly using this progress quiz, you can ensure that your business stays on course in its AI journey, making informed decisions about where to focus your efforts and resources for maximum impact.
